It’s December 1st, it’s December 1st!
*Jumps up and down*
Do you know what this means!?
Me. Totally me.
Christmas!
I woke up this morning in a Christmassy mood…
wait.
No. I’m lying. I woke up too early and was super tired and did not want to get out of bed.
What I really mean is, “after drinking my first five cup of coffee for the day, I was in SUCH a Christmassy mood.
It doesn’t help that Pinterest is all, “LOOK AT ALL THIS DIY CHRISTMAS STUFF YOU COULD MAKE!”
Speaking of Pinterest, follow me. Also speaking of Pinterest, I’ve been a huge “I’ll pin this and make it someday” kind of pinner. But ah-ha! Today. For the very first time. I did something that I pinned.
*Crowd cheers*
Yeah. So. Back to that.
A couple months back, I picked up an old picture frame from Goodwill. (Of course, with the intentions of doing something I had pinned.)
I even made this picture super huge for you so you could see the details and my wonderful iPhone photography.
Seriously though, forgive me that all the pictures in this post are from my phone.
Boo.
The frame has just been chilling around the house. Sometimes on the floor, sometimes on the printer, and most recently, tucked away under the desk. I don’t know what got into me at 7 in the morning, but I was like DUDE. I’MMA BREAK OUT THE SAND PAPER AND GO AT THIS BITCH.
Literally.
And I made it into something pretty.

Would you like to know how I did it? I’m sure you could figure it out because it is so ridiculously simple it makes me want to cry, BUT. I will tell you anyway.
Step 1: Buy ugly frame. (Mine was 99 cents.)
Step 2: Let ugly frame sit around your house for a while. (It needs to rest and be ugly.)
Step 3: Sand ugly frame. (I had some sandpaper laying around, so this was free…kinda.)
Step 4: Spray paint ugly frame a pretty color. (I chose white. My spray paint was just sitting around too but the price sticker says $3.97.)
Step 5: Put something pretty in your pretty frame (I chose Christmas Subway Art from this blog. They suggest printing it larger and through a store, but I did it at home and placed it over the ugly picture in the pretty frame. So that was pretty much free too.)
AND VIOLA! YOU HAVE JUST MADE PRETTY!
Are you doing DIY Christmas decorations this year? I am. Save some mooooolaaaaaahhhh! Plus it’s fun and I like to make things pretty, don’t you? Stay tuned for more pretty Christmas things! I’ll also post a picture of the pretty frame in it’s pretty location once there are more pretty things.
MWAH. <3
